A Roar colt named Western Roar zipped an eighth of a mile in :10 Sunday at Lone Star Park to lead the way during the second under tack show for the Fasig-Tipton Texas sale of 2-year-olds in training. Consigned by Asmussen Horse Center, agent, the colt was produced from the 12-year-old unraced Gone West mare Western Moon, who is a half-sister to Lane's End Breeders' Futurity (gr. II) winner Arabian Light (by Fly So Free). His third dam, Heartlight (by Majestic Light), captured the Miss Grillo Stakes (gr. III).

Keith Asmussen purchased Western Roar for $30,000 at last year's Keeneland September yearling sale.

Four horses turned in the fastest time of :21 2/5 for a quarter mile. They were an Indian Charlie -- Shahalo colt named Bwana Charlie, a Salt Lake -- Smile City colt; a Time Bandit -- Tripulina colt; and a Subordination -- Greeter filly.

A Scatmandu -- Lipstick Letter filly posted the fastest time for three furlongs of :35.

The sale is scheduled for Tuesday, beginning at 10 a.m. (CST).
