Calder Casino & Race Course reached yet another milestone Aug. 21 when the State of Florida granted the business its card room operating license.

The permit was signed by Joe Dillmore, the interim director of the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering.

Calder received its License for Slot Machine Operations from the same authority on July 10.

Meanwhile, construction continues at Calder on both the Studz Poker Club and a new 104,000 square-foot casino facility. The 29-table Studz Poker Club is scheduled to open in late October, offering guests daily and specialty tournaments and a variety of benefits, while the casino is scheduled for a January 2010 grand opening.
