Bob Baffert said Monday that his star 3-year-old filly Composure will make her next start in the April 5 Ashland Stakes at Keeneland, the same day as the Santa Anita Derby.

"After that, who knows?" Baffert said. He will talk with the filly's owners Bob and Beverly Lewis and decide then whether to point for the Kentucky Oaks or Kentucky Derby. The Lewises and Baffert also have 3-year-old filly Santa Catarina, who recently won her 2003 debut impressively in a one-mile allowance race. The daughter of Unbridled was second in the Del Mar Debutante and Frizette Stakes and third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies.

Composure has won both her starts this year in grade I company, beating Elloluv in the Las Virgenes and Santa Anita Oaks.
