Graded stakes winner Time to Get Even has been retired from racing and will enter stud in 2010 at Terry Lovinger’s Lovacres Ranch in Warner Springs, Calif. The 5-year-old son of Stephen Got Even is owned by a partnership and will stand for $4,000.
As a 3-year-old, Time to Get Even broke his maiden at Santa Anita in his second start and won the Lazaro Barrera Memorial Stakes (gr. III) at Hollywood Park in his next outing, with subsequent Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint winner Desert Code finishing third. This year at Hollywood, Time to Get Even scored at six furlongs in 1:08.58.
Time to Get Even won or placed in six of 16 starts and earned $150,084 while racing for a partnership that included Murrietta Racing Stable.
Time to Get Even was bred in Kentucky by Hilbert Thoroughbreds. His dam, Tomisue’s Pleasure (by Seeking the Gold), is out of graded stakes winner Summer Matinee.
