(Santa Anita track report)
Hall of Fame rider Laffit Pincay Jr., continues to recover from injuries sustained in a spill on Mar. 1. Pincay, 56, was released from the hospital on Friday and is "resting comfortably at home," according to his son, Laffit Pincay III.

"The doctors have advised bed rest at this time and it will be a while before he begins any sort of exercise program," said the younger Pincay. "The doctors are in disbelief at his physical shape and it should make his recovery that much easier."

Pincay, racing's career leader in victories with 9,530, suffered two fractures to the cervical II bone in his neck when he was thrown to the turf course during the running of the fifth race on March 1. He was fitted with a halo cast which he is scheduled to wear for eight weeks.
