Disturbingthepeace worked five furlongs Friday at Santa Anita under exercise rider Jesse Cardenas in :58. "He was supposed to go in 1:01," said trainer Darrell Vienna, who caught the multiple stakes-winning sprinter in :57 3/5. Disturbingthepeace could make his next start in the Golden Shaheen sprint in Dubai. "It shouldn't bother him at all for his next race, because it looked like he went in 1:01," Vienna said. "He was just galloping out there. But I want to see what happens in the world before committing to Dubai."Another Golden Shaheen hopeful, Captain Squire, winner of the FedEx Sprint in the Sunshine Millions, drilled six furlongs in a bullet 1:09.80 for Jeff MullinsPalos Verdes winner Avanzado, yet another Golden Shaheen candidate, went five furlongs on Hollywood Park's fast main track in 1:01.60 breezing for Doug O'Neill.
