Peggy Hendershot has been promoted to vice president of corporate communications, and Ayse Nahum has been elevated to the position of vice president of information systems, it was announced Friday by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA). Hendershot previously held the title of senior director of industry communications, while Nahum most recently served as senior director of information systems.
Prior to joining the NTRA, Hendershot worked for Thoroughbred Racing Communications, which was absorbed by the NTRA in 1998. Nahum joined Breeders' Cup, Ltd. in 1987. The NTRA and Breeders' Cup, Ltd. combined business operations in January 2001
"Peggy's promotion is well deserved," said Keith Chamblin, senior vice president-marketing and industry relations for the NTRA. "She has done a particularly fine job preparing NTRA annual reports, organizing our yearly presentation of the Eclipse Awards and coordinating the NTRA Charities-New York Heroes Fund."
"Ayse is one of the most dedicated and expert members in the entire organization," said Ferguson Taylor, chief financial and administrative officer for the NTRA. "Her period of service has been coincidental with a great deal of technological change, and she has done an outstanding job of keeping our systems ahead of the curve."
