Trainer Shug McGaughey said champion Storm Flag Flying could make her 3-year-old debut in the March 14 Stonerside Forward Gal Stakes (gr. III) at Gulfstream Park.

Storm Flag Flying breezed a half mile Thursday morning at Gulfstream. "It was a nice gallop. I caught her going in :50 2/5 and she galloped out an extra furlong solidly," the conditioner said.

McGaughey said the prime goal for the Phipps family homebred this year is the May 2 Kentucky Oaks (gr. I). and that Storm Flag Flying remained on target for that goal.

"We aren't looking to rush her, she'll come along when she's ready,"McGaughey said. "Right now we're just waiting on her."
