The Aga Khan's Daliapour, the 11-8 favorite ridden by Kieren Fallon, defeated Fantastic Light, ridden by American Chris McCarron, by three-quarters of a length in Friday's Coronation Cup (Eng-I) at Epsom, England. Border Arrow finished third and Sagamix last in the four-horse field.

Trained by Michael Stoute, who previously trained Fantastic Light, Daliapour finished second last year in both the Epsom Derby (Eng-I) and Irish Derby (Ire-I).

According to The Sporting Life, Jimmy Fortune, who rode third-placed Border Arrow appeared to lean on Chris McCarron's mount Fantastic Light up the straight. Fortune was banned for four days (June 18-21 inclusive) for careless riding and so misses the first two days of Royal Ascot.
