Edmund Gann's graded stakes-winning Peace Rules will not make the lineup for Saturday's $200,000 San Rafael Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita and could instead make his next start in the Mar. 9 Louisiana Derby (gr. II), trainer Bobby Frankel said.

The conditioner cited both the $750,000 purse and the extra half furlong as primary reasons for selecting the Fair Grounds' last major Kentucky Derby (gr. I) prep for the son of Jules.

Peace Rules, who has won two stakes and finished second in another since being being purchased privately by Gann and switched to Frankel's care last fall, owns a career line of 6-3-1-1 for earnings of $209,990. He won the Generous Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Hollywood in November, as well as the Hill Rise Stakes at Santa Anita on December 28.

Peace Rules is scheduled to work once more in the next couple of days before shipping to New Orleans mid-week.
