Affluent, Got Koko Work for Santa Margarita

Affluent and Got Koko, prepping for the March 9 Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap (gr. I) at 1 1/8 miles, worked on Santa Anita's fast main track Friday.

Affluent went seven furlongs for Ron McAnally in 1:27, while La Canada Series champion Got Koko went five furlongs in 1:01.80 breezing for Bruce Headley.

With Alex Solis opting for Got Koko over Affluent, McAnally said Julie Krone would ride Affluent in the Santa Margarita.

Got Koko won the La Canada Stakes (gr. II) over Sightseek in her last start on Feb. 8. Affluent won the Santa Monica (gr. I) on Jan. 25 in her most recent race.
