Golden Missile Preps for Foster

At Belmont Park, Pimlico Special (gr. I) winner
Golden Missile worked five furlongs in :59 2/5 seconds, handily, in the only work under a minute of 27 at the distance on Sunday. The Joe Orseno trainee is scheduled to make his next start in Saturday's Stephen Foster Handicap (gr. II) at Churchill Downs. Kent Desormeaux will ride Golden Missile in the Stephen Foster.
Also prepping for the Stephen Foster Sunday was
Chester House. He worked six furlongs at Hollywood Park, getting the distance in 1:15 3/5, handily. Alex Solis has been named to ride Chester House in the Foster.
Super Derby (gr. I) winner
Ecton Park worked five furlongs at Churchill Downs Saturday morning in preparation for the Stephen Foster. Bob Baffert trainee
Classic Cat, also preparing for the Stephen Foster, earned a bullet for his five furlong Churchill drill.
The Elliott Walden-trained Ecton Park worked handily with exercise rider Faustino Orantes aboard, and completed his work in :59 3/5 seconds over a fast track. Pat Day will ride Ecton Park in the Stephen Foster.
With jockey Sal Gonzalez Jr. in the irons, San Bernardino Handicap (gr. II) winner Classic Cat worked five furlongs in :58 4/5 seconds. "He's doing good," said assistant trainer Peter Hutton. Classic Cat's jockey for the Stephen Foster has yet to be named.
With Pat Day opting to ride Ecton Park, Shane Sellers will pick up the mount on
Cat Thief for the Stephen Foster. Other probables, with jockeys, include:
Aly's Alley, no rider named;
K One King, Mike Smith; and
Midway Magistrate, no rider named. On the fence for the race is recent Churchill allowance winner
Unloosened, trained by Steve Penrod.
