Journalist Bill Heller and jockey Randy Romero will sign copies of their new book, “Randy Romero’s Remarkable Ride,” at Circa 1840 restaurant in Georgetown, Ky April 23.
According to a release, proceeds from book sales will benefit Old Friends, the Thoroughbred Retirement Facility in Georgetown.
The book signing will be from 4:30- 6:30 at the restaurant located at 222 North Broadway in Georgetown. Complimentary appetizers will be served and wine and cocktails will be for sale in Circa’s “Old Friends” bar. Earlier in the day, the authors will be signing books at Keeneland from 11a.m. – 1 p.m.
"Randy Romero’s Remarkable Ride" (Pelican Publishing) is a candid biography, follows Romero's career from his humble beginnings to his final race. The jockey’s wife, mother, and those involved in the fast-paced world of Thoroughbred racing provide first hand commentary on the jockey’s life.
Personal photographs of Romero with his family, as well as images of the rider in victorious glory, accompany the biography.
