Patrick Biancone and Fabian Ouaki's Whywhywhy, fifth in the Fountain of Youth (gr. I) in his last start, has remained in Florida with trainer Biancone since last weekend's race and will likely start next in the seven-furlong Swale Stakes (gr. III) on the Florida Derby (gr. I) undercard Mar. 15, assistant trainer Yan Durepaire said.

"He's still down there in Florida and doing very well I'm told," Durepaire said. "I think that seven furlongs will be good for him."

Whywhywhy won last year's one-mile Futurity Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont, as well as the Sanford (gr. II) and Flash Stakes (gr. III) before finishing 10th of 13 as the favorite in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) in October. He was initially considered a top early Kentucky Derby (gr. I) threat, but was essentially withdrawn from any Triple Crown consideration following his performance in the Fountain of Youth.

Durepaire also reported that last year's Saratoga Special (gr. II) winner Zavata is back in training for the first time since being pulled up in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. The Phone Trick colt suffered an undisclosed injury to a hind leg in the race, prompting the decision to give him some time off.

"Zavata has been back in training for a few days now," Durepaire said. "He's not been back very long so we don't know where he may run, but he's definitely back."

Zavata, who captured the Tremont Stakes (gr. II) last June at Belmont Park, owns a career line of 6-3-1-1 for earnings of $226,040.
