James Tafel's Lakenheath, coming off a half-length victory over Bala in the Truly Bound Handicap Jan. 3, heads a field of nine in Saturday's $150,000 Chou Croute Handicap for older fillies and mares at Fair Grounds.

Trained by Gene Cilio and to be ridden by Robby Albarado, Lakenheath, a 5-year-old homebred daughter of Colonial Affair, will carry top weight of 118 pounds in the 1 1/16-mile Chou Croute. She drew the outside post.

Saturday's field includes Bala, who closed well in the 1 1/16-mile Truly Bound to challenge Lakenheath for the victory, and Took Out, who was a late-running third that day.

The winner of last September's Alington Matron (gr. III) has six wins in her 21-race career with earnings of $468,276.
