Trainer Bob Baffert says he is "serious" about running the filly Composure in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) on May 3.

"That's why I nominated her," Baffert said Friday morning. "I'm not going to make the call (on running or not) until that week or a couple weeks out. She's a very good filly. She's big and fast, that's the main thing. I know she's good enough."

Composure, a 3-year-old daughter of Touch Gold owned by Bob and Beverly Lewis, won the Las Virgenes Stakes (gr. I) at one mile on Feb. 9.
