Keeneland is unveiling several new technological innovations for its upcoming September yearling sale, including an industry-first online catalog page that will allow customers to access more information than ever before about select horses.
“We are committed to being a leader in technology and innovation, especially as it relates to our sales process and the dissemination of up-to-date information,” said Geoffrey Russell, Keeneland’s director of sales, in a release.
Among the new innovations being unveiled this fall are:
• Keeneland Pedigree, a more robust online catalog page specifically for horses listed within Book 1 (see video demonstration). It provides hyperlinks to race records, charts, and race replays from within the catalog page. The links and contents will allow users to drill down for much more detailed information about each horse cataloged within the select portion of the sale.
• Daily catalog updates on every horse in the sale for free.
• Consignor Portfolio, a tool that allows consignors to manage their consignments almost entirely online— including all contact and account information, submission, and tracking of paperwork, verification of information, and the ability to print account summaries and statements on demand.
• Links to online videos of horses cataloged for the sale on Keeneland.com via both Sirecam.com and ThoroStride.com. (available later this month).
“We are excited about these new tools and the feedback we are getting from our customers has been great,” Russell said in a statement. “We plan to continue unveiling more tools, including a Buyer Portfolio, in the near future.”
