Came Home Covers First Mares

Millionaire Came Home, whose $40,000 fee is the highest for an incoming stallion, covered his first two mares Feb. 12 at William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm near Versailles, Ky. The 4-year-old son of Gone West was bred to Mimi's Golden Girl in the morning and Tis Michelle that afternoon.

"He did great, like a young pro, very workmanlike," said farm manager Mike Cline.

Seven-year-old Mimi's Golden Girl, by Seeking the Gold, is the dam of one foal, a Giant's Causeway yearling colt. Tis Michelle, an 18-year-old stakes-winning daughter of Native Charger, is the dam of seven registered foals, including grade I winner K One King.

Came Home, who was produced from the Clever Trick mare Nice Assay, was a grade I winner at two and three. He captured three grade I stakes and earned $1.8 million.
