Bill Bannasch, who raced in the name Plan B Stable, died Feb. 8 of cancer at his Solana Beach, Calif., home. Bannasch, 60, campaigned graded stakes winner Michigan Bluff, plus additional added-money winner Speaking of Time in partnership.

"Mr. Bannasch was a very loyal and honest man and almost like a second dad to me," said Mark Glatt, who trained for Bannasch for four years and had about 20 horses in training for him. "He was a friend before a client."
