Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 180 lots for its Kentucky November select mixed sale. The number is up 15% from 2009’s total of 153.
The auction is scheduled for Nov. 7 at Fasig-Tipton’s Newtown Paddocks headquarters in Lexington. It will begin at 4 p.m. (EST).
The offerings include 55 broodmares and 48 weanlings. There also is a large group of race fillies and mares that will be offered as racing and/or broodmare prospects.
“The bar for The November sale has been set high by results from previous years, but the 2010
catalog lives up to – maybe even surpasses – its predecessors,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “We have more grade and group I representation than ever before.
“Among 50 graded or group stakes winners in the sale, there are 13 grade or group I winners and a great deal of international diversity. We anticipate a high level of overseas participation, particularly with the added attraction of Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Churchill Downs on the two days ahead of the auction.”
Sale catalogs, which will include a fully-interactive online version, will be available from all Fasig-Tipton offices and on the Internet by Oct. 11.
