Heiligbrodt's Racing Stable Posse set a track record for five furlongs Monday at Fair Grounds.

Trained by Steve Asmussen and ridden by Corey Lanerie, Posse rated behind a pair of leaders before sweeping to the outside. He ran the five furlongs in 57.35 seconds and returned $3.00 to win.

Posse was third in the Three Chimneys Juvenile on Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs before winning the grade III Kentucky Breeders' Cup.

The five-furlong track record was previously held by Foreign Pass, who ran 57.50 in November 1998.

Punching, another Asmussen horse, won Monday's $34,000 allowance feature. by a nose in 1:11.53 for six furlongs. Owned by Dean Cecil, Punching ($8.80) edged out Brown Eyed Beauty
