The William Inglis & Son sales company in Australia will waive its commission on horses which do not achieve their reserve at its upcoming auctions of broodmares and weanlings, May 23, 25, and 26 in Sydney. The two sales were reported separately in 2002 when 76 of the 330 weanlings (23%) failed to meet their reserve, and 118 of the 841 broodmares catalogued (14%) had the same result.

The sale has not yet closed, but the company said in a release that it expects increased entries in 2003 due in part to the promise from Lark Hill Thoroughbreds that its entire crop will be entered in the sale. Entries close on Feb. 28. For more information visit www.inglis.com.au.
