California Owner Roland Richard Sahm Dead

Roland Richard Sahm, who along with his wife, Ramona, campaigned 1986 Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) winner Super Diamond. died on Jan. 25 at age 85 at his home in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. Homebred Super Diamond, trained by the late Eddie Gregson, won six other graded stakes and earned a career total of $1,469,233. He won at least one race in eight consecutive years.
