John Toffan and Trudy McCaffery's homebred grade II winner Kumari Continent, who was foaled at Dr. and Mrs. John Chandler's Mill Ridge Farm near Lexington, has been retired and will be bred to syndicated stallion Gone West, who stands at the farm. The 3-year-old filly suffered a condylar fracture in her right hind leg during the Oct. 9 Lady's Secret Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II). The injury will not require surgery.

Kumari Continent (Kris S.--Rajmata, by Known Fact) won the Hollywood Oaks (gr. II) and Providencia Stakes and ran second in the Santa Anita Oaks (gr. I) and Honeymoon Handicap (gr. IIT). She was retired with three wins from nine starts and earnings of $263,590.
