Point Given, had first foals born Sunday.
Three Chimneys Farm announced the arrival of Point Given's first two foals--both born Jan. 19. A bay filly out of Irish-bred stakes winner Ares Vallis was foaled in England, and a bay colt out of Carly Lee was born in New York.

Carly Lee is an allowance winner by Broad Brush and raced for the breeder of her new Point Given foal, Lawrence Roman. She is boarded at Vivien and Harry Malloy's Edition Farm near Hyde Park, N.Y. Edition manager Annette Orlando described the colt as being "a nice foal with a pretty head and of average size. He's actually good sized for a January foal out of a maiden mare." Carly Lee will be bred back to Point Given in 2003.

Ares Vallis, by Caerleon, is group stakes-placed and is from the family of champions Trillion, Triptych, Generous, and Imagine. She foaled her filly at Newsells Stud in England.

Point Given, who stands at Three Chimneys near Midway, Ky., was 2001 Horse of the Year and champion 3-year-old male.
