Silky Sweep to Meadowbrook in Florida

Stakes winner Silky Sweep has been retired from racing and will enter stud for a syndicate at Barbara LaCroix' Meadowbrook of Ocala Jockey Club near Ocala, Fla. His fee is $3,500. The 7-year-old son of End Sweep captured the 2000 Skip Trial Stakes at Meadowlands and also was an allowance winner at Saratoga, Belmont Park, and Churchill Downs. He ran second in the Bold Ruler (gr. III), Sport Page (gr. III), and Highlander (Can-III) Handicaps.

Silky Sweep, who was produced from the Never Bend mare Silk Lilly, retired with seven wins from 27 starts and earnings of $325,309. Bred by Harry T. Mangurian Jr., he was bought by Team Valor Stables from Mangurian following his first start.
