The Australian auction firm William Inglis & Son is taking applications for an internship position with the company.
The successful applicant will spend 12 months with Inglis, working predominantly in the bloodstock division of the firm. There also will be opportunities to work in the company’s marketing, leasing, and insurance divisions.
Based primarily at Newmarket, Inglis’ Sydney base, the successful applicant will spend time with industry leaders, gaining an intimate understanding of the pedigree and conformation evaluation involved in yearling selection.
A keen interest and understanding of the Thoroughbred industry is desirable, with the candidates being able to demonstrate their ability to capitalize on this opportunity to make the transition to a future career path within the industry.
The successful applicant will be entitled to a generous living allowance and will be given the opportunity for interstate travel between the Sydney and Melbourne offices and throughout the breeding areas of New South Wales while yearling and weanling inspections are carried out.
