Danzig Connection to Italy

Millionaire Danzig Connection, the last of the five consecutive Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winners trained by Woody Stephens, has been purchased by Giuseppa Latino's Allevamento Al Ca Torre Di Canicaroa for stallion duty in Italy. The 20-year-old son of Danzig out of the Sir Ivor mare Gdynia formerly stood at Collin Stud in England and also shuttled to Australia. His 20 stakes winners include English champion Iktamal, plus Italian stakes winners Blu Taxidoo and Mister Naif.
