Turfway Cancels Thursday Card

Turfway Park has cancelled its Thursday card due to heavy snow fall and frigid temperatures in the Greater Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky region.

The cancellation is the first since the Winter-Spring Meet began on January 1. The track did lose two partial cards because of weather during the Holiday Meet in December.

Turfway will remain open on Thursday until approximately 11:00 p.m. for full card simulcasting from Aqueduct, Gulfstream Park, Fair Grounds, Santa Anita Park, Laurel Park, Charlestown, Golden Gate Fields, Penn National, Sam Houston and Australia.

Live racing is expected to resume Friday with a 5:30 p.m. first post. The Winter-Spring Meet continues through Thursday, April 3.
