Shooter, a graded stakes winner as a 2-year-old, will enter stud at Weatherly Horse Farms near Anthony, N.M. The 5-year-old son of Dehere out of the stakes-winning Gone West mare Defer West will stand for $2,250 live foal.
Shooter scored his added-money win as a juvenile in the 2000 Sapling Stakes (gr. III) at Monmouth Park over future prominent sprinter Snow Ridge. During his career, he captured three of 15 starts and earned $168,874.
Weatherly also welcomed newcomers Thatsusintheolbean and Elegant Cat.
A 9-year-son of El Prado, Thatsusintheolbean won 18 of 77 starts and earned $452,082. His dozen added-money victories included a score in the Alysheba Breeders' Cup Stakes at Lone Star.
Thatsusintheolbean is one of two stakes winners produced from graded stakes winner Belfast Becky (by Overskate). His fee is $2,000 live foal.
Four-year-old Elegant Cat, who placed in one of four starts, is a half-brother to grade I winner and millionaire Gentlemen. Elegant Cat (Storm Cat -- Elegant Glance, by Loose Cannon) will stand for a private fee.
