Grade I winner Cindy's Hero and Secret Status produced their first foals within a day of each other. Secret Status, winner of the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) and Mother Goose Stakes (gr. I), foaled a Giant's Causeway filly Jan. 2. The breeders are William S. Farish, James Elkins Jr., and Temple Webber Jr., the three men who bred and raced Secret Status.
Cindy's Hero's first foal, a Deputy Minister filly, was born the following day at Issam Fares' Fares Farm near Lexington. Her breeder is Tom Baxter, who bred Cindy's Hero and raced her with his wife, Elizabeth. Cindy's Hero scored her grade I win in the Del Mar Debutante Stakes.
