Sweet Nanette Goes for $250,000 at Keeneland

(from Keeneland release)Rainbow Stables paid a top price of $250,000 for multiple stakes winner Sweet Nanette during Wednesday's session of Keeneland's January Horses of All Ages Sale.
Taylor Made Sales Agency sold the 5-year-old bay mare by You and I out of Sweet Remedy by Dr. Carter. Sweet Nanette, offered as a racing or broodmare prospect, has won six races and earned $356,425.
A yearling filly by Marquetry brought $215,000, second high price of the day. Josham Farms Limited, as agent, bought the half-sister to stakes winner Got Koko from Denali Stud, as agent.
The chestnut filly is out of Baby North, by Northern Baby.
Keeneland sold 249 horses during Wednesday's session for $4,454,300, an average of $17,889 and a median of $9,500.
Through three days of the five-day auction, 703 horses have been sold for $26,371,000, an average of $37,512 and a median of $20,000.
The sale continues through Friday.
