Graded stakes winner Deep Gold will enter stud at Dr. Truman Smith's Mesa Vista Stud near Raton, N.M. The 7-year-old son of Olympio is owned by Richard and Connie Snyder's Cedar Creek Ranch and will stand for $2,000.

Deep Gold's best season came in 2000, when he won the Deputy Minister Handicap (gr. III) and placed in the Commonwealth Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. II) and Red Bank Handicap (gr. IIIT). He was stakes-placed three earlier times.

Deep Gold, who was produced from the Distinctive Pro mare Distinctive Review, retired with seven wins from 33 starts and $364,938 in earnings.
