(From track report)
Kudos will make his first start in nearly nine months in Saturday's $150,000 San Pasqual Handicap (gr. II) for older horses at 1 1/16 miles.

The 5-year-old gelded son of Kris S. has been sidelined since winning the Oaklawn Handicap (gr. I) at Oaklawn Park April 6.

"He chipped an ankle in the Oaklawn Handicap, and he's back in good shape," said trainer Richard Mandella. "He seems to like this track (a win and a third in three starts) and this looks like a good starting point to come back."

Kudos, a Kentucky-bred owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Moss, has a 6-4-1 record from 19 starts, with earnings of $708,935.

Probable for the San Pasqual: Cottage, Mike Smith; Hot Market, Kent Desormeaux; Kudos, Alex Solis; Nose The Trade, David Flores; Oh Take, no rider; and Piensa Sonando, Laffit Pincay Jr.
