"She definitely runs extremely well here and hopefully we'll get a chance to run her here again this meet," Asmussen said. "She got the perfect trip. I was worried about her post draw and the whole way down the backside I was worried about her not having anywhere to go."
Ridden with confidence by Shane Sellers, Histoire Sainte found room on the rail when the field turned for home after settling in seventh place on the backside.
"My first concern was to get her to settle," said Sellers, who rode three winners on the day's card. "Coming into the turn I just had to find some running room and got lucky and got through on the fence and she took it from there. She was just the class of the field."
Histoire Sainte's four wins at Fair Grounds include the 2000 Bayou Breeders' Cup Handicap and back-to-back renewals of the Sixty Sails Handicap.

Longshot Spritely Walker used a determined drive on the rail to fill out the exacta."I think he should still be undefeated," said Robideaux.
