(Edited NTRA press release)

Adverse track conditions as a result of the Christmas Day winter storm in the Northeast led to the cancellation of Aqueduct's nine-race card Thursday. Rain, freezing rain and snow fell over the area throughout most of Christmas Day.

"We're confident that racing will resume tomorrow," said NYRA president and CEO Terry Meyocks. "We will offer free general parking and free admission to both the grandstand and clubhouse for tomorrow's card."

What was to be today's featured race at Aqueduct, the $100,000 Gravesend Handicap (gr.III), was rescheduled for Sunday.
