Graded stakes-placed Kettle Won, whose dam is a half-sister to champion sprinter Safely Kept, will enter stud at Stuart and Anita Subotnick's Anstu Farm near Millbrook, N.Y. The 6-year-old son of Colonial Affair will stand for $3,000 live foal.
Bred by Dark Hollow Farm, Kettle Won captured three of 15 starts, ran second in the 2000 Fort Lauderdale Handicap (gr. IIIT), and earned $113,606 for Anstu. His dam, Safe At the Plate (by Double Zeus), also is a half-sister to Maryland stallion Partner's Hero.
