A stable that enters a maiden in a Grade I stakes race could not have a better name than Always Believe, Inc.
The eternal optimism of the sport is demonstrated by Always Believe owner Rocco Aceto, who entered Kinzie Woo in the $371,000 Hollywood Starlet for 2-year-old fillies Saturday.
Kinzie Woo, a daughter of Skip Away, has finished fifth and third, respectively, in two maiden races.
"Her owner wanted to take a shot," explained trainer Marty Jones Friday of the decision to enter. "We entered her in a lot of maiden races that did not fill. There was no other place to run her. She's doing really good, and we thought she could get some black type (by finishing third or better)."
