Laffit Pincay, Jr., enters the final eight days of the Hollywood Park Autumn Meet atop the jockey standings with 29 winners, but he will have a tough time staying there.

Pincay will miss the final six programs, five to serve a delayed suspension for a riding infraction earlier in the year, and one to ride at Calder while being honored with a day at the Florida track Dec. 21, agent Bob Meldahl said on Thursday.

"I've been owing the stewards days for quite a while and it seemed like a good time to take a break," Pincay said Thursday.

Pincay, 55, won one race Thursday to bring his meet total to 29. He's being hotly pursued in the jockeys' race by Alex Solis, two back with 27 winners, and Victor Espinoza, three behind with 26.
