Turfway Park canceled its live race card on Wednesday following the forth race due to unsafe track conditions. Melting snow, compounded by daylong rains, drenched the track and made for an unsafe racing surface.

Turfway Park's track maintenance crew is scheduled to work around the clock to prepare the track for Thursday's card. The weather forecast calls for clearing in the Northern Kentucky area through the weekend.

Turfway Park was not the only track affected by the winter weather. Beulah Park in Ohio; Charles Town in West Virginia, and Penn National in Pennsylvania also cancelled whole or partial cards on Wednesday.
