Cozzene Share Tops Equine Spectrum Auction

A share in Cozzene brought the top price of $81,000 during an online auction that was conducted by Equine Spectrum (www.equinespectrum.com) on Dec. 5. The buyer was listed in the sale summary as a "private purchaser."

The champion male on turf in 1985, Cozzene stands at Graham Beck's Gainesway Farm near Lexington. The 22-year-old son of Caro was North America's leading sire by progeny earnings in 1996.

In all, 12 lots were sold for a gross of $191,800 and an average of $15,983.
