Ian Jory, trainer of Continental Red, welcomed the California-bred winner of the $275,000 Great State Challenge Classic Saturday at Sam Houston Park in Texas back to his Hollywood Park barn Sunday.
"I wasn't able to fly because of a herniated disc. Brian Lynch saddled him," said Jory of the versatile 6-year-old horse, a stakes winner on both dirt and turf.
"He'll run in the Sunshine Millions next January 25. I will have to decide whether to run him in the $500,000 Turf at Santa Anita or the $1-million Classic on the main track at Gulfstream," Jory said.
