Marc's Rainbow in East View Stakes win.
Marc's Rainbow beat Beautiful America by 2 3/4 lengths in Sunday's $87,750 East View Stakes for 2-year-old New York-bred fillies at Aqueduct.
Combanchera was third of eight horses, another 9 1/2 lengths back.
Marc's Rainbow carried 118 and Richard Migliore 1 1-16 miles in 1:46 3-5 on the fast track to earn $52,650. The daughter of Summer Squall, owned by Albert Fried and trained by Todd Pletcher, won for the third time in five career starts and pushed her career bankroll to $122,650.
"She's a fighter," said Migliore. "I can't say enough good things about her. Every time a horse comes near her, she pins her ears and give you another gear. She was traveling so comfortably at the half-mile pole that I knew we were going to have a big shot at winning it."
The winner returned $9.60, $2.80 and $2.10. Beautiful America paid $2.30 and $2.10, and Combanchera $2.10.
