Irish-based Coolmore Stud has announced that Rock of Gibraltar, Cartier's 2002 Horse of the Year and champion 3-year-old colt, will stand for a private fee.

The son of Coolmore stallion Danehill won a record seven consecutive group I races before finishing second in the Oct. 26 NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) as the 4-5 favorite in his final start for Alex Ferguson and Sue Magnier. Rock of Gibraltar, who was produced from the Be My Guest mare Offshore Boom, retired with 10 wins from 13 starts and $1,888,048 in earnings.
