Texas Glitter, winner of the Hollywood Turf Express (gr. IIIT) on Nov. 29, arrived in Hong Kong on Dec.4 to run in the five-furlong Hong Kong Sprint (HK-I) Dec. 15 at Sha Tin. A 6-year-old son of Glitterman, Texas Glitter has won 11 of 36 starts and has earned $826,077. He is owned by Vinery Stables and William Schettine and is trained by Todd Pletcher.
Delta Form, who will represent the USA in the 1 1/2-mile Hong Kong Vase (HK-I) 2400m) Dec. 15, also arrived on Dec. 4.
Decarchy, trained by Bobby Frankel, has been pulled out of the Hong Kong Mile (HK-I) and will be replaced by Dupont, representing Britain.
Trained by William Haggas, Dupont is a dual classic winner in Europe this year. He won the Gr.2 Premio Parioli (It-II, Italian Two Thousand Guineas equivalent) on May 1. Nineteen days later, he won the Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen (Ger-II, German Two Thousand Guineas) over a mile in which Next Desert, the subsequent German Derby (Ger-I) winner, finished second.
In his lone start at the group I level, Dupont finished six lengths behind Rock of Gibraltar while fourth in the St. James's Palace Stakes (Eng-I) at the Royal Ascot meet in June. Dupont, who has an International Rating of 114, finished fourth in his last start, a listed race over the all-weather course at Lingfield at 1 1/4 miles on Nov. 23.
