Three security measures announced by the NTRA's Wagering Technology working group already have been implemented at Turfway. They include software to scan all wagering pools associated with multi-race wagers, software to record wagers made via telephone, and having racing organizations review winning wagers that involve multiple legs.Any wager deemed irregular or otherwise questionable will be thoroughly reviewed with supporting detail provided by the tote company or companies associated with the host track. The holiday meet runs through Dec. 31 with live racing Wednesdays through Sundays. Post times are 5:30 p.m. EST on weeknights, and 1:10 p.m. on weekends. There will be a special holiday first post time of 1:10 p.m. Dec. 26 through Jan. 1, when the winter-spring meet commences.
