The National Thoroughbred Racing Association will hold a news conference in New York City Nov. 20 to discuss ongoing measures in connection with the Breeders' Cup Ultra Pick 6 investigation.

The NTRA board met in New York Nov. 19 for about two hours to hear reports from task forces that fall under its Wagering Technology working group, formed in the wake of the pick six probe.

Representatives of the Ernst & Young Technology and Security Risk Services team also were on hand to provide an update. The company is performing a study of pari-mutuel security.

An NTRA spokeman could not be reached immediately to comment on what transpired at the board meeting, or what may be revealed Nov. 20. Media notes from the board meeting only said officials would "outline additional steps to address issues raised" by the wagering fraud allegations.

The week of Nov. 11, officials would not comment on what would be discussed at the Nov. 20 special meeting.
