Crafty Shaw's victory in the Nov. 16 Schaefer Mile at Hoosier Park has earned the 4-year-old son of Crafty Prospector a shot at the Nov. 29 Clark Handicap (gr. II) at Churchill Downs.

The Pete Vestal-trained Crafty Shaw won at Hoosier by 1 1/4-lengths over M B Sea on a good surface, getting the distance in 1:35.69 -- the fastest time of the meet at that distance.

The victory was the sixth stakes score for Crafty Shaw, who was privately purchased in April by Oaklawn Park owner Charles Cella.

In the Clark, Crafty Shaw is expected to meet Tenpins, Lido Palace, Dollar Bill, and Najran.
