NYRA Strikes Alternate for Pick 6 Bets

The New York Racing Association announced that it will no longer allow bettors to make an alternate runner selection for Pick 6 wagers, beginning with Saturday's card at Aqueduct.The NYRA said the latest change in wagering procedure at its tracks is to expedite the scanning and merging of Pick 6 wagering pools. In the event of a late scratch, the bettor will receive the actual betting favorite.
