Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) winner Cash Run will make her next start in the $200,000-added Indiana Breeders' Cup Oaks Friday at Hoosier Park, becoming the first Breeders' Cup winner to race at the Anderson, Ind. track. A win in the race would boost her career earnings over the $1-million mark.
The D. Wayne Lukas trainee has been sprinting in her most recent two starts, finishing third in the six-furlong Floral Park Handicap and sixth in the seven-furlong Ballerina Handicap (gr. I), and will stretch out to 1 1/16 miles for the Oaks. Cash Run's two biggest wins have come in 1 1/16-mile races, the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and the Bonnie Miss Stakes (gr. II). Both of those races, however, were run at Gulfstream Park, where Cash Run has won three races in as many starts. Elsewhere, Padua Stable and Anne Sanan's 3-year-old filly has two wins from 13 career starts.
Others expected for the Indiana Oaks include Megans Bluff, the recent winner of the Arlington Oaks (gr. III), and Frank Brothers trainee Trip, winner of the $150,000 Iowa Oaks.
